Case Study - Wulvern Housing Association - Main Road, Wybunbury.
As part of our ongoing partnership with Wulvern Housing Association 4 bungalows were identified as prime locations for a trial of renewable energy products. The bungalows were running on economy seven for hot water and space heating provided by old fashioned storage heaters.
Phoenix Renewable Technologies have provided a system that incorporates both solar domestic hot water and air source heat pump technology in to each bungalow. These systems have been designed to offer the tenants significant savings on fuel bills as well as dramatically improving the carbon emissions from each property The system incorporated a Mitsubishi 5kw air source heat pump and Vaillant flat plate solar panels which provide up to 60% of free hot water to each property.
